Our values
Three principles that guide each follow-up, at each stage.
Continuity
A single dietitian who accompanies you from one stage to the next, rather than a new professional at every turn.
Clinical rigor
Education at McGill and Columbia University, supervised clinical experience in gestational diabetes and perinatal care.
Accessibility
Virtual appointments, bilingual, and designed to fit into an already busy family life.
Why Nuome?
The first 1000 days, from the start of pregnancy to the child's second year, are recognized by scientific research as the most critical period for a family's long-term health.
It was this window that Lily Macdonald wanted to honor in creating Nuome: a trusted, science-based resource for families navigating this formative period. A single registered dietitian-nutritionist, with you from pregnancy through your child's nutrition.
Meet the Founder
Lily Macdonald, M.Sc., RD
A bilingual registered dietitian-nutritionist trained at McGill University, Lily Macdonald has worked and trained in several clinics and hospitals in Greater Montreal, including the Jewish General Hospital, the CHUM, and the Montreal Children's Hospital's gestational diabetes clinic. She completed a master's degree at Columbia University in New York, where her research focused on feeding dynamics between parents and toddlers — a field that revealed to her that the lack of postpartum support extends far beyond Quebec.
This master's degree also deepened her understanding of metabolism, micronutrients, and epigenetics. It is this combination of clinical and scientific knowledge that has shaped her conviction: families deserve support grounded in both science and human connection, not a generic diet plan.
